A one-day orientation programme was organised
by Four Steps for doctors undergoing Post Graduate courses.
The Doctors attending the programme were enlightened about
the specific issues concerning Special children and how
Four Steps as a Rehabilitation Practitioner touches the
lives of the children.
Thirty teachers, undergoing training for the NTT Course,
visited the School for a fortnight for professional orientation
programme in the field of Special Children.
FESTIVE
DIWALI
The grandeur of the festival of lights was initiated with
the School putting up a stall to exhibit and sell the vocational
products developed at the school during the Diwali Bazaar
at Blind Relief Association grounds from 11th to 14th October;
and on 14th October at Swiss Embassy, organised by Akshay
Pratishthan.
A
Mela was also organised at the School premises on 18th October,
which showcased and sold the various products made at the
school.
The
students and staff celebrated Diwali with unmatched fervor
and delight. They had Diwali Puja followed by bursting of
customary fire crackers to bring in the dazzling festival.
CREATIVE EVENT
The students participated in an Inter-School Painting Competition
organised by the Ministry of Urban Employment and Poverty
Alleviation, Govt. of India. Kunal and Jayesh won the second
prize, which consisted of cash amount of Rs 1000/- .
TEACHERS DAY
Teachers day was celebrated with great gusto among the members
of the Four Steps Family. A picnic to the Rail Museum was
a huge hit with the students and teachers alike.
DUSSHERA CELEBRATION
The Dusshera celebrations at the School comprised a moving
depiction of the triumph of Good over Evil by Kedar, Mahadev,
Sarthak, and Ayushi. The effigy of the tyrant Ravana was
also burnt as the excited children watched, cheered and
clapped hard.
IN THE SPIRIT OF SPORTS
Ishwar and Jayesh, students of Four Steps, participated
in Basketball competitions at different levels. Ishwar won
a silver medal in the State Level and a gold medal in the
National Level Competition.
